Her ninth studio album, R9, appears to have been hit with long-running delays and is expected to be heavily influenced by her love of reggae and dancehall.

She told Entertainment Tonight in July: 'I am always working on music and when I am ready to put it out in the way that I feel fit, it's gonna come out.

'You're not going to be disappointed when it happens. It's going to be worth it. I'm not just gonna put it out just because people are waiting. It's taken this long, I'm gonna make it worth it.' 

It recently emerged that Rihanna, real name Robyn Fenty, splashed out $13.8 million on a seven-bedroom mansion in Beverly Hills, according to Dirt. Built in the 1930s the home's previous owners include Mary Sheldon whose father Sidney Sheldon created I Dream Of Jeannie.

Daniel Starr paid Mary $4.3 million for the property and then remodeled the place in a process documented on the Bravo reality show Million Dollar Listing. He then sued the construction companies and contractors involved in the renovations, The Blast reported in 2019.

Although he listed the property for $15 million Rihanna's allegedly off-market purchase cost her more than a million dollars less than that.
