It's a tough task and few new mums would be up to it.
But Milla Jovovich, who welcomed baby Dashiel into the world on April 1, is doing everything necessary to get back into tip-top shape as quickly as possible.

The 39-year-old must be ready to start filming the sixth and last movie in her action hero franchise, Resident Evil: Final Chapter, in August.

So it's little wonder the actress was spotted running to a gym in Los Angeles on Friday - even though she appears to have last her baby weight already.

The brunette's pony tail flew behind her as she dashed away from her parked car dressed in a pink vest over an orange one, black cropped leggings and New Balance sneakers.
Free of make-up, she still had her glasses on as she hurried along.

In a blog post earlier this year, the Ukranian-born actress, wrote: 'I'm really proud of myself for not gaining the same amount of weight that I did with our first child (75lbs.).'

On a mission: The 39-year-old, who gave birth to her second daughter, Dashiel, on April 1, must be in tip top shape by August when filming begins on the last movie in her action franchise Resident Evil: Final Chapter

The mother-of-two plays the main character, Alice, a supremely efficient killing machine in the blockbuster franchise based on the hit video game Directed by husband, Paul W.S. Anderson, 50, it's a real family affair. The couple also share another daughter, seven-year-old Ever.

'Because I have to be ready to start filming Resident Evil: The Final Chapter in August of this year and I will also be nursing an infant simultaneously (get ready wardrobe department for Alice's new "easy mama access" costume;)

'So I don't want to be on any extreme diets to get ready to go back to "action hero" mode!'
The movie is scheduled for release in 2016.
